Temecula Holiday Festivities Ring in the Season

Posted on: Tuesday, December 6, 2011

When living in The Vineyards Temecula apartments, a winter wonderland is right outside your door. The twinkling lights, the decorations and festivities – Old Town makes it easy to get into the holiday spirit.

In case you missed the big arrival, Santa is now at his North Pole home on the corner of Main and Front Street. Children can visit with him on Saturdays and Sundays, 1-5 pm, through December 18th. Visits are free, and you can bring your own camera or get the Tahquitz District Boy Scouts to take souvenir photos for a donation. Pets are welcome, too.

Upcoming Old Town Temecula Events

Among the upcoming holiday events at Old Town Temecula is the annual Santa’s Electric Light Parade, set for Dec. 2 at 7 pm. You can get details about the parade route and road closure by clicking here. The website’s EVENTS page also provides details about other Old Town festivities.

For instance, on Dec 10th, local middle school bands will play holiday music from 10am to 4pm at the 2011 is Community Music Day. This event is free, so plan to drop by.

If you have children, they will love Pennypickle’s Winter Wonderland, scheduled for December 16, 5-8:30 pm at the Temecula Children’s Museum. During this festive event kids can sip hot cocoa, eat s’mores, meet the Snow Princess and play in the 33 tons of snow. There are other December events planned at the museum, including ones where children can play and learn while parents get a little time for shopping. Click here for event details.

Dec. 16th is also the grand opening of the Winterfest Ice Rink. The 3pm opening features a broom ball game between local high school teams, followed by regular ice skating sessions. Located at Main and Mercedes, the rink is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In addition to Old Town’s festivities, The Vineyards will be hosting our own for residents. Stay connected to our Facebook page so you don’t miss them.

Happy Holidays!
